It might be scaled back to 150 worshippers right now due to Covid, but that did not stop the 700-seat Central Peninsula Church in Foster City, CA to install a new d&b A-Series loudspeaker thanks to the efforts of PCD Audio/Video system integrators based in Santa Rosa.
Recently, PCD released a solution to our clients’ common AV issues by introducing AV as a Service (AVaaS). AVaaS provides options for customers to pay for audio visual equipment and services monthly, without a large cash payment up front. Customers can opt in to an AVaaS contract for a recurring fee and receive the flexibility to add or remove services or equipment after an initial contract term is completed and as their AV needs fluctuate through the years.
Starting in 2012, the San Mateo Union High School District (SMUHSD) contracted for renovations at six campuses including refreshing eight theaters. PCD was successful in being awarded some of the projects as a part of the capital construction contracts.

Huddle rooms, aka small conference rooms equipped with AV equipment, have grown popular in the past few years. They offer greater flexibility for impromptu meetings, are less expensive than large Boardrooms, and allow for interactive communication among teams. Some common huddle room AV solutions include a computer monitor or TV, and a camera with a microphone. There may be other equipment as well, depending on the company’s needs, including computers, phones, or media players. PCD recently completed various Huddle Room installations including one at the corporate offices of Covia and Traditional Medicinals.
