Novato High School – Novato, CA

PCD worked with The Shalleck Collaborative (Berkeley, CA) at Novato High School adding a ground-up construction 18,000 square feet, 498-seat theater. The theater features Berkeley-based Meyer Sound Laboratories speakers. The 21,000 lumen laser projector and 307” diagonal screen will provide video enjoyment for years to come. A Yamaha QL5 mixing console is part of this state-of-the-art system.

St. Rose Catholic School: Rebuilding After the Fires

In October 2017, St. Rose Catholic School in Santa Rosa, CA suffered two unimaginable back-to-back disasters. In addition to the firestorm that swept through Santa Rosa on the night of October 9, 2017, the water company mistakenly restored service to the campus in the following weeks. While still on mandatory evacuation, an estimated 5,000 gallons of water poured into various rooms on the empty campus before the mistake was realized.

Back to School

As the new school year begins the realization hits that all of the people who are well versed in operating the complex systems for the theater, auditorium or multipurpose room are no longer students.  What are you going to do?  We have you covered.  Call us to set up a service call. We will send one of our technicians to the school to conduct a training for the new students.  The amount of time will vary depending on the system but is generally 2 to 4 hours. The cost will run from $500 a session and up.  Our techs are booked in advance and at this time of the year in high demand so please make your appointment as soon as possible.

San Rafael and Piner High Schools

San Rafael and Piner High Schools have recently undergone stadium revitalization projects on each campus funded by local tax bond Measures A & B. Construction crews completed minor demolition at each site and installed new all-weather turf, track, bleachers, lighting, and sound systems.

Design-Build Case Study - Sonoma State University Rec Center / Green Music Center / Schroeder Hall

In 2006, PCD designed a new sound system for the Rec Center at the Sonoma State University Campus.  The goal was to have independent audio and a high-quality sound reinforcement system tied into the aesthetics of the new space, including the Exercise Rooms, Fitness Rooms, Gymnasium, Large Gym, Lobby, Rock Wall area, and Training Room. PCD designed a new system using Peavey Media Matrix as the backbone of the system. This allows the various wireless microphones and local audio inputs to be controlled by the local wall-mounted control panel so SSU staff could select the music source from satellite music (DirecTV) or local inputs from the phone or iPod. The system has been working well for years.
