Recently, PCD released a solution to our clients’ common AV issues by introducing AV as a Service (AVaaS). AVaaS provides options for customers to pay for audio visual equipment and services monthly, without a large cash payment up front. Customers can opt in to an AVaaS contract for a recurring fee and receive the flexibility to add or remove services or equipment after an initial contract term is completed and as their AV needs fluctuate through the years.

In 2014, funding was approved by Sonoma County voters for the Santa Rosa Junior College District to utilize Measure H tax bonds for $410 million in upgrades and renovations to SRJC campus buildings over the next decade. Included in the funding was $30 million for the Burbank Auditorium to be completely renovated. The auditorium itself was 77 years-old and in need of significant repair to enhance the space including improving vantage points for the audience and implement ADA upgrades throughout the facility. As a local historical building, the exterior of the building was to remain intact through the construction process.

A sound masking system emits low-level, non-distracting masking noise specifically tuned and designed to reduce ambient speech and thereby improve speech privacy. This past year, PCD was contacted to help improve the sound quality of the City of Healdsburg’s Meeting Room and Council Chambers. Over the course of several visits to adjust and modify sound, City staff determined a design-build upgrade their current system would be best. When the City began upgrading and expanding their building facilities, this presented the perfect time for to implement an AV upgrade to stream and record the AV.

In 2018, PCD was called to assist in providing a design-build solution to outfit a newly constructed building at Roseland University Preparatory campus. Their campus includes a “Big Room” space where the students can gather to see presentations in a large theater-style open-space room, as well as AV installations throughout various classrooms.

PCD recently completed the installation of digital signage at Redwood Credit Union’s newest branch on Market Street in San Francisco.
When Traditional Medicinals decided to relocate their corporate headquarters from a cramped space in Graton they shared with the packaging and shipping plant, they reached out to PCD to provide state-of-the-art AV technology to their new facility. The old Hewlett Packard/Agilent site in Rohnert Park was a large two-story shell of a building where they needed to incorporate style and function into their new corporate campus.
Here in wine country, Domaine Carneros in Napa has recently undergone a $1.8 million renovation to add an all glass pavilion to their already impressive wine country estate. This past year, PCD played a pivotal role in designing a sound system as part of the expansion and enhanced the ambiance of the tasting room with background music.
PCD was tapped to provide a Design/Build solution for an aesthetically seamless and high-quality background music system for Hall Winery’s entire Tasting Room and outdoor areas. This system would be created for guests to enjoy the unique flow and artistic inspiration of the winery. The facility has private tasting rooms and a main Tasting Lounge, along with an upstairs deck and downstairs terrace areas. There is a large lawn seating area on one side of the building and an upper floor area that is set up to house events and celebrations in the winery’s Fermentation Room.
