Our Approach to Commercial AV

When we first stepped foot into the century-old theater building, we were impressed with the caliber of student performances we saw. Still, we knew the building couldn’t handle the level of excellence the arts and theater classes were meant to achieve. 

PCD worked alongside a planning committee to craft the perfect Performance Arts Center that could serve the entire community. Not only do PAHS students have access to this space for rehearsals, classes, and shows, but administrators also wanted a professional-grade entertainment space that outside renters could utilize. Our team was tasked with equipping the 538-seat theater with best-in-class audio/video, microphones, power conditioners, processors, easy controls, and more. 

Sounds Amazing

Theater actors know how to project their voices to the back of a room, but microphones and speakers are a must-have addition to any auditorium or theater for a truly stunning performance. For this facility, we incorporated wireless microphones from brands like Audio-Technica and Sennheiser to pick up every word, song, or producer’s note. 

A Meyer Sound Constellation system offers an adjustable, customizable acoustic system that integrates the various audio components of the stage. It creates a holistic performance for the ear with processors, loudspeakers, and subwoofers, all of which attach to stage rigging and can be moved out of the way when not used.

A Truly Immersive Experience

Performances are visible whether someone is sitting dead center in the middle row or backstage waiting to walk onto the stage. High-definition fixed-mount cameras feed performance footage to large TVs at both the front of house and back of house. Crestron touchscreen control gives directors and stage crew one-tap control over AV, including a Clearcom intercom and Biamp paging system. These systems are sophisticated on the back-end yet simple and intuitive to use. From rehearsals to award-winning musical performances and plays, a commercial AV installation benefits everyone during every step that leads to the final performance - the crowd will be screaming for an encore every time!
