Through the public Request for Proposals (RFP) process, PCD was selected to do a complete design-build upgrade of the outdated AV system at the City of Santa Rosa’s Utilities Field Office location. The UFO office serves as the broadcast location for City meetings, a training center for City employees including Police and Fire, and serves as the Emergency Operations Center when necessary.
Adapting an AV system to fit the acoustics of an existing historical church can be a challenge. PCD specializes in retrofits of this nature and will do a site visit with your staff to assess the needs of your church spaces. Acoustics in older buildings have an impact on the quality of the sound. Without compromising the façade of your building inside or out, PCD can redesign a room that has flat or echoing sound to have well thought out acoustics so your presentation will reach every person in the audience. A well designed sound system with carefully placed loudspeakers is unobtrusive yet provides excellent acoustics to the entire space. Let us help you provide incredible sound quality for every presenter, choir voice, and musical instrument. PCD can help the impact of your message travel to all corners of the room with the correct system.

In 2014, funding was approved by Sonoma County voters for the Santa Rosa Junior College District to utilize Measure H tax bonds for $410 million in upgrades and renovations to SRJC campus buildings over the next decade. Included in the funding was $30 million for the Burbank Auditorium to be completely renovated. The auditorium itself was 77 years-old and in need of significant repair to enhance the space including improving vantage points for the audience and implement ADA upgrades throughout the facility. As a local historical building, the exterior of the building was to remain intact through the construction process.
